Note on Rigid-Flex Panelization

Rigid-flex PCBs can only be manufactured, tested, and shipped in panel form, as the flexible areas must be stabilized during processing.

We will create the panel based on your specifications (please include a drawing or similar) or derive it from your Gerber data, if available.

Please enter the X/Y dimensions of your single PCB, and specify the total quantity of individual boards you need. In the fields for “Panel Dimensions” and “Panel Layout”, please indicate the overall panel size and the arrangement of boards within it (e.g. 2 x 5). The number of boards per panel must be a divisor of the total quantity (e.g. for a 2 × 5 layout = 10 boards per panel, order quantities must be 10, 20, 30, etc.).

Important: Maximum panel size is 220 x 250 mm².

Requirements:

• Panel must be separable by 2 mm milling tool or via scoring (V-cut)
• Panel must contain identical boards only (no mixed panels)
• For mixed panels, please contact us directly — we’ll gladly provide a quote.

Layer Flexibility in 4- and 6-Layer Rigid-Flex PCBs

In 4- and 6-layer constructions with internal flex layers, the exact order of rigid and flex layers is not fixed.

The following stack-ups are typical examples:

• 4L-I1: 1 flex layer inside → 1R + 1F + 2R or 2R + 1F + 1R
• 6L-I1: 1 flex layer inside → 2R + 1F + 3R, 1R + 1F + 4R, 3R + 1F + 2R, etc.
